Dr. Dinan, an ICF-certified executive coach, has spent the past twenty-five years involved with Human Behavior, Personal Leadership and Organizational Development. She has lived and worked overseas and brings this unique perspective to her work. Her experience, coupled with her Ph.D. in Social Science Research yields a rich platform for both diagnosing and developing the leadership and organizational dynamics that enable productive change and performance. She is certified to administer both the Leadership Circle Profile and Leadership Culture Survey.
Ann incorporates the skills of an experienced business consultant, executive coach, and entrepreneur with the skill base of a social science researcher. Thus, she is able to assist executives to become stronger leaders by focusing on their personal and professional leadership with the goal of not only bringing forth their best leadership but also building a strong, positive culture. She employs a systemic approach to change management. One of her favorite Organizational Development quotes is Jeff Lawrence’s, who said “there are not any dysfunctional organizations because every organization is perfectly aligned to achieve the results it currently gets.”

Ann’s coaching and consulting work focuses on individual senior executives, senior leadership teams, and high-potential individuals and teams. Her most prominent clients include: Procter & Gamble, the Veterans Administration (VA), The Cincinnati Bar Association, Formica, Xavier University, Macy’s, Hixson, BHDP, Huff, and Marsh.
An accomplished speaker and writer, Ann has spoken extensively at international and domestic conferences on leadership, including most notably, The International Leadership Association (ILA), and the ASTD-SA (American Society for Training and Development- South Africa) conferences. Dr. Dinan has also published numerous papers and journal articles and is currently writing the book, Ubuntu Leadership. Additionally, Ann has taught leadership in the Executive MBA program at Xavier University.
Ann graduated with her Ph.D. degree from Washington University (St. Louis) while receiving her M.S.S.A. from Case Western Reserve University and her B.A. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Ann’s claim to fame is that she attended UNC when Michael Jordan led the team to the NCAA championship and she lived one floor above him in the dormitory.
Ann has two children and lives in Cincinnati, OH. She has been an associate of the O’Brien Group since 2011.
